Agios Stefanos (East) Corfu Map And Beach Guide

Agios Stefanos (east) is a small fishing village on the north-east coast of Corfu. Don't mix it up with the Agios Stefanos in the northwest. This one is a popular upmarket resort with many villas and apartments to rent in the area.

Agios Stefanos is approached down a long and winding narrow road. There is parking on the approach road and a car park when you get there, but the bay can get busy and parking is at a premium by noon.

Agios Stefanos has a thriving Greek community that marks it out from some other tourist resorts on the north coast. This village is extremely pretty and located between steep hills.

The small shingle and pebble beach is located on the north side of the bay and there are sunbeds for hire. The beach shelves steeply under the water so it's unsuitable for children.

Agios Stefanos bay can also collect seaweed and there are sea urchins. There are few facilities on the beach and four tavernas and a couple of bars along the water's edge, with views over the bay to the Albanian coast.

Relaxing evenings spent in the tavernas can pall after a while and there's little else to do and many consider Agios Stefanos to be a good base for exploring.

Kerrasia is also about 15 minutes walk and there are many quiet coves along the seashore and boat trips to Corfu Town and to the surrounding bays.
