Kassiopi Corfu Map And Beach Guide

Kassiopi has changed from a charming Greek fishing village into a major tourist resort.

Parts of Kassiopi can be said to be picturesque with a traditional port full of fishermen bringing in the early morning catch.

But most of the village has been given over to tourist development with a wide array of discos, bars and all-day English breakfast.

The resort of Kassiopi is spread across three small bays on the north-east coast of Corfu. It is approached down a narrow and winding road and the village has a one-way system with parking near the harbour.

The resort has three beaches, none particularly good. The main beach is pebble while smaller ones are a mixture of pebble and stone.

The main beach is flat but it dips steeply along the shoreline so families need to keep an eye on children. Waves may become choppy when the wind blows from the north.

Watersports are limited but there is a scuba diving centre here and there is boat rental available in the harbour.

Kassiopi is a favourite port of call for many round-island boat trips and there are plenty of tavernas and cafes to meet the demands of boat and coach trippers and menus are international.

This is a very lively resort if you enjoy nightlife and there is no end of neon-lit music bars, wide-screen TV, foam parties, karaoke and so on.

There are two large supermarkets, a couple of mini-markets and plenty of small shops as well as a regular bus service.
